VOLUNTEERING

AC Marin has implemented a Referee and Volunteer Program in order to achieve a variety of goals. First and foremost, the soccer community is constantly in need of volunteers and referees. Additionally, referee licensure exposes our players to the entire scope of the game.

Players under the age of 13 (the 'Youngers' ages)

At these ages, parents are required to volunteer for a club or team in some form. Families that do not choose a volunteer role for their team or club will be charged an extra $250. The $250 is paid to the team and handled at the team level if a refund is required for volunteering later on in the season.

Players 13 years or older (the 'Olders' ages)

Players are required to referee five games or volunteer in the developmental academy for an equal length of time (5 hours). At enrollment, a $250 deposit is taken, of which $250 is refunded when the player has refereed 5 games or volunteered for 5 hours in the developmental academy.
