After placing in 1st place in the group stage, the Northbay Timbers would face Half Moon Bay in the Presidents Cup Final.
In the group stage, the Northbay Timbers opened up the tournament with a 3-1 win against Half Moon Bay. In the second game, they would face Anderson AC, after a hard-fought battle the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The North Bay Timbers finished the group phase with a 6-0 win vs Jamestown SF Madrid. Northbay Timbers finished the group stage in 1st place with 2 wins and 1 tie. With Half Moon Bay defeating Anderson AC 4-3, that placed Half Moon Bay in 2nd place in the group stage. This would set up the Presidents State Cup final with Northbay Timbers v.s. Half Moon Bay.
The Final was intense from the beginning. Right off the bat the Northbay Timbers had 2 great opportunities to open up the score, but could not finish their attacking plays. Half Moon Bay scored 1st off a breakaway play. With this, the North Bay Timbers got over their Championship game jitters and started dominating the field and even it up within 5 minutes(Osvaldo Real), making it a 1-1 game. Right before halftime, the North Bay Timbers would get their second goal(Osvaldo Real). Going into halftime up 2-1 in favor of the North Bay Timbers. The second half was all Timbers. Shortly after kick off the Timbers attacked the Half Moon Bay with some nice combination passing and a nice finish to go up 3-1(Rafael Gonzalez). North Bay Timbers defense held their ground the second half, holding Half Moon Bay to only 4 shots, 2 on goal. With Timbers in full control of the game, midway through the second half, Timbers went up 4-1(Osvaldo Real), and right before the game would end, Timbers scored another goal (Kyle Garcia) and the game finished 5-1. With this win, the Northbay Timbers would be crowned the 2017/2018 Presidents State Cup Champions earning them a spot at the 2018 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup in Salt Lake City, Utah.
